There will be from 1. July aplied new rules for charging EU VAT rates that will be chosen according the billing country. The other (Non. EU) countries will get the product prices (inc. SK VAT) that are shown in the shop. The EU countries, if other than 20% VAT will have the adjustment made during the checking out process. This change is still in a testing stage so apologies and possibly report any weird calculations.
Content of the cup:
70 ml, top diameter 7,6 cm, height 4,1 cm
About this piece:
A buncheong cup of rather smaller size, this cup has iregularities in the transparent glaze and also the line, the upper rim goes like a slight roller coaster (looking like a hat too), these last two features makes it so ugly nice that after some use, getting patina will look like a digged up cup or rather fished out ceramics from a sunked boat. It sits perfectly on the table and with already colouring inside cracks is getting its beauty.
This one has also a base clay the same as for hakeme ones, so that the grey is a bit darker and the tea is more tasty.
Jiri Duchek was inspired by an almost forgotten korean pottery technique.
This cup was made by an old traditional korean technique called ‘buncheong’ from the era of Joseon.
A very nice movie about a korean potter working using this technique.
Each piece of a batch of ceramics made in 2021 will have one additional photo. These images are taken during a visit of Jiri Duchek from its surrounding, nature, simply places where he lives and creates his pieces.
