Content of the cup:
110 ml, top diameter 9 cm, height 4,5 cm
About this piece:
Some piece are very photogenic I mean so good to photo them. This is a second one of them from the last shooting. A cup with a good wet stain effect with good shaped form and its upper edge cuttings are so good.
This cup has strong wet effect once it is in contact with water. The looks like wet sheet of paper. The decorated edge with darker grey colour completes the beauty of this cup.
Jiri Duchek was inspired by an almost forgotten korean pottery technique.
These cups were made by an old traditional korean technique called ‘buncheong’ from the era of Joseon.
A very nice movie about a korean potter working using this technique.
The cup has a water stain effect, the wet spots will change the colour of the pot to darker grey. On the cup there are coloured tiny cracks.
