About this piece:
A teapot of a new winter this year last batch. A classic from Jiri Duchek. These teapots actually one of such I use lately a lot, they influence the tea very little, so neutral vessel giving tea come out as it is.
This almost egg shaped teapot with higher body enhancing aroma and versatility of puerh teas. Pretty wide opening for bigger leaves, nicely ‘baked’ body almost to anagama effects. A true gem to anyones collection and use.
This teapot clay contains a bit of locally sourced kaolin clay which is used for porcelain. The tea made of such a teapot has round, mild and pleasant taste, similar taste as achieved by pure porcelain teapots. The unglazed fired shred will be slowly aged and change its color. Each teapot has an unique shape, size, fire marks. The teapot surface is very smooth and nice to touch. The inside of the teapot is not glazed.
