About:
A nice, flat, wide open rye pot. Beautiful rye texture going from the lightest to the darkest shiny one at front of the teapot.

This teapot clay contains a bit of locally sourced kaolin clay which is used for porcelain. The tea made of such a teapot has round, mild and pleasant taste, similar taste as achieved by pure porcelain teapots. The unglazed fired shred will be slowly aged and change its color. Each teapot has an unique shape, size, fire marks. The teapot surface is very smooth and nice to touch. The inside of the teapot is not glazed.

I would call this type of teapot a very suitable vessel for all that look for a neutral, natural, not glazed teapot. It won’t affect your tea in any way, still also this teapot adds a very little tiny roundness, mildness, which is mostly desirable but noticed by just a few percents of rather sensitive gourmet tea ‘drinkers’.
