Name: GǔShù HèKāi
Year: 2018-19, pressed in 30. September 2019
Weight: 200 grams
Country of origin: China, Yunnan province, Hekai mountain
Details:
notes taken on 16.04.2020 – honey sweet like nectar with wild bitter notes along perfume like exotic fragrance ending with apparent old tea tree aftertaste (blend of nutty, bitter and sweet ‘can’t get enough’ like), mighty energy slowly hitting the chest area, continuing with a thick tea soup, capturing the senses,
these notes goes from the first brew till the ninth, witten as they go from start to end:
light sweet, fruity, nutty, a bit grassy, parfume like, fruit aroma, herbal notes, old tea tree aftertaste representing sweet saliva secretion, fresh leaves notes, going to subtle chocolate, kernels, background bitterness, vegetal sweet nutty characteristic Hekai taste, woody, citrus notes, energy mainly going upwards to tbe head, mainly quiet mind, the last brews shows kind of ageing notes apparent in older teas – very subtle
briefly very interesting, pure, typical Hekai tea in which many seasons characteristics can be found
due to very low yield of tea leaves of a small tea garden, tea leaves were left to rest and gather together from different spring and autumn pickings of the past two years, altogether 25 kg made from which were 10 kg for pu-erh.sk
this is the first pu-erh tea that is a blend of several season tea leaves that rested several months in order to create richer taste and support better ageing process
