Country of origin: China, Yunnan province
Very thick, balanced, clean, vibrating cha qi, clean bitterness with a bit of sweetness, very old tea tree feel, thick mounth feel, relaxing, very clean and natural taste profile, realy strong aftertaste with slight nuttiness
These cakes were not planned to get this year but once I tasted a special edition of selected old tea trees during final pressing and wrapping of pu-erh.sk cakes in small factory in Yiwu, I got the point, there were made only a few kg of selected oldest tea trees from Huazhu this year, as most of their tea leaves were sold as fresh leaves to one big buyer
I tasted this tea when freshly pressed and 4 weeks later, the change is massive, the tea liquiour gets to be an excelent ‘danzhu’ feel and also brings me more understanding why ‘danzhu’ puerh edition are so sought after, you can be sure (ofcourse if you have a trusted source) that the leaves are really old tea trees, the tea itself is very elegant, it’s like you have the best clothes perfectly cut and stitched, in tea you feel this refined noble taste, simply nothing standing out or missing.
HuáZhú Liángzi is a mountain name, the tallest one of Xishuabanna. DānZhū HùnHé means single trunk (tree) blend, about 20 selected tea trees from HuáZhú mountain.
