Country of origin: China, Yunnan province
Fine, very natural, pure forest feeling both in taste and frangrance, hard to overbrew, honey feel in the empty cup, full of taste, nice astrigency, notice wild flavours in the first brews that are hard to find in other teas, these wild notes as I call them are like a good meat flavour (since I dont meat for sometime, hope I remember well) very tasty and rare in teas
Mansa teas are from a trusted family that sells all its production to my friend Liou for about 10 years already, the tea leaves comes from ZhāngJiāWān LǎoZhài (old village area that is high in the mountains on the boarder with Laos). It takes about 45 minutes drive by 4×4 cars to reach this piece of forest where the tea trees are surrounded by other forest trees.
This is a danzhu hunhe edition (DānZhū HùnHé means single trunk (tree) blend) tea leaves collected of 20 oldest tea trees from several families, these old tea trees are older than 300 and up 500 and maybe more years old, the larger number of trees gives tea very varied taste profile.
