a very sweet first rinse brew, could be underlined by charcoal heated sweet mountain well water, the tall porcelain cup is full of fruits, sweet ripe fruits,
this tea as the most good Yiwu’s wakes up slowly, rather shy, needs a several steeps, until brewed long and hard from the start, there is another few steeps of just good tea,
I wonder why is Yiwu so timid or rather having strong leaves to open up, still dripping the lazy drips in the cup shows an indeed strong tea, now I know until the brew does not have reddish colour then it is just a weak infusion, once the tea soup is reddish then you get a full scope of Yiwu taste,
friendly, soft, cotton like and very drinkable character, there is this peculiar taste comes up, only teas from wilderness and ecological enviroment has it, once the flavour gate is open then this tea durability is long, even we will forget that autumn teas are weaker but I do not think this is the case rather I would believe that during winter the demand is much lower so that the ratio of very very old tea trees is much higher in the maocha so that the thickness of taste (texture) is much higher
this autumn selection is versatile and giving a chance to compare three mountains that each has its unique character, also the chance compare a freely growing not ancient/gushu teas with other two gushu,
a yesterday small tasting gathering with these teas brought a winner that was not gushu proving that good enviroment, a good soil meaning good terroir brings superb teas also we can’t forget a good care of tea trees
