About this piece:
A smaller size of a shiboridashi with interesting colouring setting. This cuckoo like set of marks that is created during the firing process. There is change from darker notes on the cup going to lighter on shiboridashi and its lid.
This piece comes from a last firing of 2020 that ocurred during the winter solstice. The kiln was opened on 24th of December just for the Christmas dinner. What a nice scheduling by events happening. Meant differently by a Man and arranged the other way by Nature. I have not heard from Jura for several months and I was not expecting anything else in 2020 but a message came on Christmas. I thought this is a nice coincidence.
Jiří Lang, a czech potter that is using his own unique style, working with his intuition, firing in a wooden kiln. His pieces are hidden treasure that are full of beauty recognised during their use.
