About this piece:
A teapot from a new series of Jura’s small ones. These all are glazed inside. This little beast is suitable for traveling when additionally only a cup or two is needed complete your needed set in order to make your daily shot.
This one has a few holes in the sieve sealed by a glaze. Also a reason make it cheaper. The pour/flow of tea is not affected, maybe it is not so wild. I took all the produced teapots even this little flaw. Also I thought it is right to support Jura and his family and take the whole batch produced.
This piece comes from a last firing of 2020 that ocurred during the winter solstice. The kiln was opened on 24th of December just for the Christmas dinner. What a nice scheduling by events happening. Meant differently by a Man and arranged the other way by Nature. I have not heard from Jura for several months and I was not expecting anything else in 2020 but a message came on Christmas. I thought this is a nice coincidence.
Jiří Lang, a czech potter that is using his own unique style, working with his intuition, firing in a wooden kiln. His pieces are hidden treasure that are full of beauty recognised during their use.
