Country of origin: China, Yunnan province
Details:
personally the Gaoshan tea in Yiwu area is for me the most tastiest one, there are ofcourse some others but not that perfect in all terms, this tea comes from a tea farmer that mainly make tea for a long time tea merchant in Hong Kong and the takes most of his production also pays more so that the tea trees are not overpicked, this edition is made from a selected few tea trees only
pretty strong tea, when a bit more leaves used and longer steep it gets bitter that shows a danzhu character, a great pontential to age, very balanced overall feel, I would say a bit father from typical sweet Yiwu teas rather wilder like remote Gua Feng Zhai, still with more elegant notes

Podrobnosti:
1 review for Yiwu Gaoshan danzhu
A superb tea, and so strong too : this morning after five or six cups, I had to take a break to eat something - yes, I often have an empty stomach during morning sessions. The most remarkable points of this tea are its strength and depth, perfectly underpinned by a kind of peppery bitterness - I pushed the first infusions a bit too much and received the deserved punishment straight away ;-) I'm not going to go into a description of the qi of this tea, these things are highly subjective, but people looking for this aspect should really try it. In any case, here we are far from the pleasant and generic descriptions that we often hear about Yiwu teas.
