Details:
these are tasting notes from a comparison of three cups and their effect on the tea taste, there were used 3 cups, Jiri Duchek’s kuan cup and its rye cup (inside plum tree ash glaze), the thirds is high quality porcelain by Wen Chiao Lin. Each paragrahp represents one brew, at the end as the tea was not finished but I was. This tea has a very long stamina.
1.
wens porcelain: sweet haze green feel like
ducheks kuan: light acidity with soft sweetness
duchecks rye: balanced flavours with earthy notes
2.
wens porcelain: fresh maocha like character with only subtle freshness left
ducheks kuan: high notes of bitterness and acidity in a very pleasent pronounced way, strong aftertaste
duchecks rye: a strong feel of all the flavours packed in one ball
3.
wens porcelain: soft, delicate, crispy and fresh like feel
ducheks kuan: grapefruit like citrusy note like fruity acidity with more depth
duchecks rye: it’s like restrained at the first moment but then strong flavours come up and showing the earthy, rooty feel like notes
4.
long brew
wens porcelain: strong densed flavours in one sip, great oilyness with thick feel
ducheks kuan: pronounced gushu character with rounded bitterness
duchecks rye: most bitter and strong from all three, again as in previous rounds the feel is dark, deep and natural
5.
wens porcelain: sweet green peas notes, soft and delicate
ducheks kuan: thicker and richer, not saying better the previous cup
duchecks rye: concentrated, high baked bread crust note,
6.
wens porcelain: refined, very pleasent, touching and caring,
ducheks kuan: to my suprise with more punch and coarseness
duchecks rye: secondly to my suprise, richer and tastier then other two cups
