sweet sugar cane scent of the warm tea leaves in the gaiwan, the first brew is like a cute child with its true purity and sweet happiness, a hidden matured freshness still present and pleases the senses, the lid of the gaiwan emits sweet homemade canned peach compote like notes, the second brew comes in full range of flavours, more like baked sugar sweet pear notes lingering, it is very interesting that an open porcelain cup gives much more fruity acidity than the slim tall cup, the same I noticed with the 1989 Tie Luo Han oolong, another interesting note is in the aftertaste of colder tea soup that reminds like roasted meat like beef, with the third brew the fruity sourness is increased even more, the aftertaste is very close to a real experience of eating fresh fruits, the energy is comfortable, tingling and uplifting more like hot spring bath warm up
an aged with very good storage Oriental Beauty that is a rare find among old aged teas,
sourcing such aged teas is more about a connection with the person rather than business as it is a piece of their past and it is we may call as a flavour of the history
it’s fully hand-picked, the material is grown and made in Pinglin
this is one of the two old oolong teas listed in 2026 from an old master roaster Mr. Chang from Taiwan, he is about to sell out his aged tea treasure
