Name: Da Lun Shan Oolong (大崙山)
Year: 2023, winter tea
Variety: Qingxin and Jinxuan cultivar blend
Baking time 80 degrees, 4 hours in electric oven
Age of tea bushes is 13 years
Weight: loose
Instant yummieness and sweetness with a pinch of roast. Fragrant aroma and purity of the first brew. Energy hits the head and then slowly dissapates through the body. The very light roast is so gentle that simply adds the tea the extra beauty. Nice saltiness, minerality on the tongue.
Lightly cooled down tea soup is so rich that I ask myself ‘what is this?’. The rich pallete of flavours is like a canopy of flowers in the garden.
The roast, maybe I should not call it a roast only some says a fix of the tea flavour makes it very special so I recommend it to anyone who like not roasted ‘green’ high mountain oolongs.
I used 3 grams of tea with about 50-60 ml of water.
The tea comes from an organic tea garden of Mr. Lin that is already at his 68 age of life, still very vigorous. He said he makes tea for 50 years already so his entire life.
The tea balls are a very fine grade as the most of big stems are hand picked out.
