About this piece:
A tiny porcelain teacup with a tea-ash glaze, finished with 24k gold. Delicate and tall in proportion, this small cup carries rare glaze tones born from gas firing. Deep, dark hues—infused with tea leaves—shift subtly beneath a luminous gold finish, creating a surface that feels both organic and precious. Some of the leaves used in the glaze come from Lao Banzhang, shared and enjoyed during our stay on Rasa Mountain last year.
Drinking Lao Banzhang again this morning brought to mind a fitting image: it is like drinking pure gold—rich, radiant, and unforgettable. This cup is made for the quiet ritual of gongfu cha, perfect for savoring aged and exceptional pu-erh teas.
The last photo features an iron forged puerh pick by Libor Mikus.
