perfect fruity peach start, just a flash brew produces such a good drink, light tingling of Cha Qi, subtle roasting notes so well fitting the fruity base, noble, refined and balance overal feel, bitter nuts skin with sweet finish with cinamon sprinkle, the fruity base continues with longer steeps too, even when I burp its like after eating fruits, the aftertaste is ‘delicious’, the 3-4 grams I would recommend for a beginner in Yancha field, ofcourse the water ratio is smaller and coul be aroun 60-70 ml, with such smaller amount the tea is more ‘recognizable’ the subtle flavours and notes, this tea comes from unpruned almost like wildly growing bushes so that the tea energy is very subtle, friendly so that the taste is let’s delicate and ‘blissfull’
This cultivar is originally not from Wuyi mountain and was brought here in 1980’s and slowly settling in. The tea trees are growing in ecological almost wild enviroment, they are not pruned, over harvested, no fertilizers just to let it grow and thrive. This is brings out the tea its purity and unique character.
in order to fully understand or start to comprehend Yancha Oolong teas, try to brew it with 3 grams only in your tinies teapot you have and using just a bit water, covering the tea leaves, first brews can be only flash brews then prolonging them for even minutes, the true essence of these teas can be ‘dismantle’ first with these ‘rather not that rich’ tasting profile, distinguishing the details better, I personaly find ‘hardcore’ way using 8 or so grams for one-two person brewing
all these yancha oolong offered are pure and clean, in terms of taste and scents at the same time, the roasting is done finely and complemets each tea at a just right level, they all come from a respected generations long tea making trustworthy family
