There is complexity noticable from the first sip of this tea. The various age of used three maochas producing hints of older, some getting old and almost new tea leaves used. There is a very nice fruiteness that I believe is produced by the mind_switch 2022 maocha still there no hint of spring freshness that would not fit into this tea.
The bings are pressed harder for better long term aging. I had a talk with VeiAn about this topic and he says that the cake will gradually be more loose. The example of it is the Yuna’s Heroes 2014 which is now not that rock hard to dismantle.
The idea of blending this cake came to my mind as one of you asked if I tried to blend 2016 Lao Cha with 2020 Pang San Zhou. I tried and it was great. So pronounced the taste was. These two different ages of maochas did not disturb each other rather blended the flavours into a great tea.
Even then I tried to blend a bit of Mansa Huangpian to some of my pure gushu teas. It made them great, one my friends started to do it regularly as a way to add some grams to teas that only a few grams had left.
The idea of blending various maochas from different years is not new, it was practiced (maybe still is) for many years in “branded” tea factories in China.
This cake by accident (a good one intended by universe) was blended not with 22 Pang San Zhou but with mind_switch maocha. This way it makes it even more top notched.
This year I returned (or rather started to have made) to standard cake size even its more expensive still visually and also practically is more suitable. So this I feel.

Myšlienka zmiešať rôzné ročníky čajových lístkov ma napadla keď ma jeden z Vás spýtal či som skúšal zmes Lao cha 2016 s Pang San Zhou 2020. Vyskúšal som a bol som milo prekvapený, dva rôzne ročníky sa veľmi dobre dopĺňali a vôbec si neprekážali v chuti.
Miešať rôzne ročníky čajov nie je nová a bola a možno stále je praktikovaná “značkovými” čajovými fabrikami v Číne.
Čo náhoda (ne)chcela, miesto mieneného Pang San Zhou 22 bol (na)miešaný materiál pôvodne určený pre mind_switch čaj.
Tento rok som sa vrátil, alebo skôr začal dávať lisovať čaje do štandartného 357 gramového koláča, stojí takto viac ale vizuálne aj prakticky sa mi to vidí vhodnejšie.
