Yesterday, 9 of June, I went again for the black pot. What fitted my mood was Tong Qing Hao 269. This Yiwu cake made with crab feet herb, only one or two percent. This should have several reasons why is there.
I found the tea unfolding, like layers falling off, showing this rather ‘hardcore’ Yiwu made of arbor leaves. No fancy ‘modern’ notes. The starting infusions are full of new bitter ageing notes that I would atribute to crab feet.
The black teapot suprised me as I clearly felt the tea itself. I would say such teapot needs some time, some 10-15 seasion to get seasoned and then goes well.
